St. John's Lutheran Church http://www.stjohnsokarche.com Hosted by Truepath.com Sat, 11 Feb 2012 18:39:54 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.3.1 klade http://www.stjohnsokarche.com/klade/ http://www.stjohnsokarche.com/klade/#comments Sun, 05 Feb 2012 14:08:32 +0000 admin http://www.stjohnsokarche.com/?p=493 klade Vicar Klade serves St. John’s part-time as assistant pastor.  His duties include serving in worship which includes preaching, young adult Bible class, Senior high youth, adult confirmation classes, and assists the pastor in other areas of ministry.   He is in the Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Specific Ministry Pastor Program.  It is four years of Seminary study with ordination after the second year.  SMP provides quality pastoral formation in response to the mission needs of the church.  SMP pastors fill a need where a full-time pastor is unable to serve.  They may continue towards a Master of Divinity degree after the four years.  When Vicar Klade is not doing ministry at St. John’s, you can find him in his full-time work of farming and ranching.  He is married to his beautiful wife Kathy of 30+ years, and has three wonderful children - Hannah, John (and his wife, Kristen), and Tom.

Insight
Joshua’s new job consisted of leading more than two million people into a strange new land and conquering it. Every new job is a challenge. Without God it can be frightening. With God it can be a great adventure. Just as God was with Joshua, he is with us as we face our new challenges.
Challenge
We may not conquer nations, but every day we face tough situations, difficult people, and temptations. God promises, however, that he will never abandon us nor fail to help us. By asking God to direct us we can conquer many of life’s challenges.
